We are excited to present our 11th volume of the Modern Huntsman publication.
In our eleventh issue, we’re continuing to broaden our horizons with storytelling and dive into a few topics we have not before. These include the allure of sea trout fishing, the art of wooden duck decoy carving, why surfing is relevant to ocean conservation, how a Beretta shotgun was the best Christmas present ever, and a profile on woodcock. As always, we have a wide variety of other stories that touch on quail hunting, salt water fly fishing in the Laguna Madre, the fate of peatlands, how salmon in Bristol Bay bounds culture and conservation. We’ve also continue our book review series, The Literary Huntsman, where Rick White dives into the widely acclaimed Braiding Sweetgrass, and our Wild Food series with Chef Bri Coelho.
Contributors for this issue are Byron Pace, Tyler Sharp, Chris Dombrowski, Nicole Qualtieri, Elias Carlson, Sarah Farnsworth, Tito West, Paul King, Lindsey Mulcare, Colin Arisman, Caris Fawcett, Rick Bass, Noah Davis and more. Set to release in late August/early September, it’s another sound addition to the growing archive of the Modern Huntsman publication.
