Part four of the Modern Huntsman x Lone Star Outdoor Film series. Waterfowl hunting creates a bond among friends that’s difficult to replicate. You could say the same about being a ship captain. This film is about both and follows our old friend John Dunaway as he shares his love for waterfowl, conservation, and hunting community on the Texas coast. We’re excited to tell more stories about those who care so deeply about wildlife and wild places in the Lone Star State, and hopefully, you find some inspiration within the adventure.

For seventh-generation Texan Anna Avery, taking a deer is a powerful, personal decision she does not take lightly. This short film dives into her perspective on making the right choice, how her journey as a hunter has shaped who she is and how it has brought her closer to her family and the land of their historic family ranch in South Texas.

Part two of the Modern Huntsman x Lone Star Outdoor Film series. This short film focuses on Shea Self, who is the only woman to have won the World Championship in competitive Helice shooting. With a work ethic to match her sporting clays prowess, she has made her family very proud (especially her grandparents) and learned a few things about the outdoors along the way. ⁠“A 12-Gauge Crown” illustrates how Shea rose from humble front porch beginnings to the top of the podium against all odds.
